OpenSite 0.0.1 · DevelopmentSource scope and availability

A user-oriented summary of the documented development baseline.

Current baseline

OpenSite 0.0.1 internal development, source snapshot 77c3fee (Phase 13C). The repository has no published public application release. The unchanged product number alone does not identify file-format or feature compatibility.

Available workflows

  • Create/open/save local engineering documents, use object/property views, and undo/redo supported edits.
  • Manage user-defined materials and exchange material data.
  • Work with explicit physical quantities, display profiles and typed fields.
  • Store native formulas or opt into Python property expressions.
  • Use the optional desktop, viewport foundation, Python Console/workbench, debugger and published plot tabs.
  • Develop compatible extensions through the documented SDK.

Important changes in this baseline

Document format 4 adds unique internal object names and additional property types. Readers accept formats 1–3; earlier builds do not read format 4. Property dialogs distinguish native formulas from Python expressions. Python does not run merely because a document is loaded or an inspector is painted. Read OpenSite/Guides/Use the expression editor.

Known limits

Production material grades, section-design workflows, CAD modelling, meshing, FEM solving, design-code checks and completed online licensing are not established in this baseline. See OpenSite/Known limitations.

Before changing builds

Back up files and settings, identify the old/new build and save a test copy. See OpenSite/Guides/Update OpenSite. Historical repository test reports describe their original environments; this documentation publication did not rerun Windows application tests.
