Review notice: Development documentation for OpenSite 0.0.1, source snapshot 77c3fee (Phase 13C). Reviewed against implementation on 29 October 2026. Tests and the Windows desktop were not rerun for this publication; this is not a released-product support claim.

Show the active language and select another tag, including the English fallback.

Stable identifier
cli.language

Implementation milestone

Roadmap phase 3.

Units

None.

Terminal example

opensite-cli language set fr

Python access

The registered command is language.set and its argument is language. No Python example calls it. The CLI test runs opensite-cli language set fr.

Output

language=fr, resolved=en, sample=language=fr, missing=cli.missing.example, and used_key=true.

Errors

Exit 0 on success. Exit 1 for a language tag the catalog rejects. Exit 2 for the wrong number of arguments.

Limitations

This build does not include a French catalog, so the sample sentence is the English one. language show prints the English plural forms 1 item and 2 items. That rule is English, not a universal plural system.

Verification evidence

Repository evidence references (not rerun for this publication): CTest cli.preferences and foundation.catalog.

Documentation basis

Source-reviewed against development commit 77c3fee13944bcc4b5d487c77eb1f82fbe4c6ea7, branch feature/phase-13c-properties-python-expressions. This review inspected the implementation and repository evidence; it did not run the Windows application or repeat CTest.
